Into Week 4 For Hundred Pushups

Hundred Pushups

Over the past few weeks, there seems to be a similiar buzz around some top fitness blogs. Among those that consistently appeared as updated on my Google Reader are Get Fit Slowly and Lazy Man’s Health.

All of them are talking about one similar thing, the HundredPushups.com challenge. The goal of this challenge is to be able to do 100 continuously after 6 weeks. Not knee . That’s for sissies.

It breaks down the challenge into 6 weeks, 3 days for each week. Depending how fit and strong you are, you are to fall under different columns of the challenge for each day. Each column is then divided into 5 levels with different reps, with 60-90 seconds break in between.

Since I’ve nothing much to do over here and already missing the gym and spinning sessions quite badly, this challenge couldn’t come at a better time. I’ve just finished Day 1 of Week 4 on Column 2. That’s 22, 16, 16, 14 and 22 (min) reps all together.  The last level was the hardest and I was aiming to do 32, but only managed to dig out 25, which I think is not that bad after all.

Today’s rest day. So, back to Day 2 for tomorrow!
